Information We Collect

Depending on how you use IncomeWiki, we may process:

• Google account information provided for sign-in, including your name, email address, profile image, and authentication or account identifier.
• Public profile information you choose to provide, including a username, display name, bio, and website.
• Account and authentication records, such as linked-provider data, session records, and related OAuth metadata used to maintain sign-in.
• Contributions and activity associated with them, including Wiki pages, revision history, edit summaries, community posts, comments, timestamps, and an account identifier when you are signed in.
• Technical information used for operation and abuse prevention, which may include an IP address, an IP-derived or secret-keyed hash, user-agent information, and request metadata.
• Usage and device information processed through Google Analytics, such as pages viewed, referral information, browser or device details, approximate location, and analytics identifiers.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide and operate IncomeWiki.
• Authenticate users and maintain account sessions.
• Create and maintain user profiles.
• Publish and attribute contributions.
• Maintain Wiki revision history.
• Operate community features.
• Understand how the service is used.
• Diagnose technical problems.
• Enforce permissions and prevent spam, abuse, or misuse.
• Improve the service.

Google Sign-In and Google User Data

IncomeWiki uses Google OAuth for account sign-in.

When you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides IncomeWiki with account information authorized through the sign-in process, such as your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier.

IncomeWiki uses this information only as necessary to:

• Create or connect your IncomeWiki account.
• Authenticate you.
• Maintain your sign-in session.
• Display account or profile information where applicable.
• Associate contributions and account activity with your IncomeWiki account.

IncomeWiki stores account and authentication information necessary to maintain these functions.

IncomeWiki does not receive or store your Google password.

IncomeWiki does not sell Google user data or use Google account information obtained through sign-in for advertising.

Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate, host, secure, authenticate, analyze, or maintain IncomeWiki, as described in this Privacy Policy.

Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Anonymous Contributions

Some Wiki contributions can be made without signing in.

“Anonymous” means that a public account identity is not attached to the contribution. To maintain revision history and address spam, abuse, or rate limits, the server may retain an IP address and a secret-keyed identifier derived from network and browser information.

These records are not intended to identify anonymous contributors publicly.

Analytics

IncomeWiki uses Google Analytics 4 in the production service to understand traffic and usage.

Google may process analytics data and use cookies or similar technologies as described in Google's own policies. Information processed for analytics may include pages viewed, referral information, browser or device information, approximate location, and analytics identifiers.

Browser controls, blocking tools, or Google's available opt-out mechanisms may limit analytics collection. Limiting analytics does not necessarily prevent information required for security, authentication, or core service operation from being processed.

Cookies and Sessions

IncomeWiki uses cookies or equivalent browser storage for authentication sessions and may use them for analytics.

Session records are also stored in the service database. Disabling cookies required for authentication may prevent sign-in or other account features from working correctly.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service, maintain account and revision records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations.

IncomeWiki does not currently promise a fixed retention period.

Public Wiki contributions and revision history may remain after an account deletion or privacy request where preservation is reasonably necessary for the integrity, attribution, or security of the public knowledge base. Where appropriate, account information may instead be removed or disassociated from those contributions.

Data Sharing

Public contributions and their public attribution may be visible to visitors.

We may share or allow information to be processed by infrastructure, hosting, database, authentication, analytics, and other service providers where reasonably necessary to operate IncomeWiki.

Information may also be disclosed:

• When required by applicable law or valid legal process.
• When reasonably necessary to protect IncomeWiki, its users, or the public.
• In connection with service providers acting on behalf of IncomeWiki.

IncomeWiki does not currently sell personal information or Google user data to advertisers.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect the service and its data.

No online service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

User Rights and Requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Some requests may be limited where retention is reasonably necessary for public revision history, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other lawful reasons.

Children's Privacy

IncomeWiki is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to IncomeWiki, contact the site operator so the situation can be reviewed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, its data practices, or applicable requirements change.

The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the service when appropriate.
